Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told Parliament on Wednesday that the high-speed train set is being designed in collaboration with BEML at the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. The speed of this high speed train will be 280 kilometers per hour. This train will run faster than Vande Bharat. The Railway Minister, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, said that after the success of Vande Bharat trains under the 'Make in India' initiative, Indian Railways has now started designing high-speed train sets.

Let us tell you that Vande Bharat is a semi-high speed train, which was launched in the year 2019. The maximum speed of Vande Bharat train is 160 to 180 kilometers per hour. Now a high speed train will run whose speed is 280 kilometers per hour. The Railway Minister said that the construction cost is approximately Rs 28 crore. He said that under this project, so far 336 km pier foundation, 331 km pier construction, 260 km girder casting and 225 km girder launching have been completed.
