Nowadays politics is at its peak in Karnataka. The war of words between the two veteran leaders has become such that Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan first called HD Kumaraswamy Kalia and then apologized. The National Democratic Alliance had condemned Khan's remarks calling Kumaraswamy as Kalia as 'racist'. Regarding his statement, Congress leader Khan repeatedly said that he had affectionately addressed Kumaraswamy in this way earlier also when they were close and this was not the first time.
I said it lovingly, there was an argument
When Ahmed Khan was the Housing and Waqf Minister and earlier in Janata Dal (S) and was considered a close aide of Kumaraswamy. Khan said, “If I had called him that way for the first time, I would have apologised. Out of affection, he used to call me 'Kulla' (dwarf), I used to call him Karianna (black brother). Despite this, if he or anyone else has been hurt by my statement calling him Kalia, then I apologize.
Politics continues regarding Kalia
Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan said, “Not from today, but from the beginning, I used to call him affectionately like this. He used to call me 'Kulanna' and I used to call him 'Karianna' (black because of his skin colour).” Asked whether his statements would have an impact on the assembly bypolls in Channapatna, Khan said, ” Why will it be affected? Still, if JD (S) workers are hurt by this, I apologize.'' Let us tell you that Janata Dal (S) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have asked the Congress government to stop Khan for his 'racist' attack on Kumaraswamy. There has been a demand for his removal from the cabinet for 'comments'.
