The Indian Navy successfully test-fired K-4 ballistic missile from Arighat on Wednesday (27 November). The range of this missile is 3500 kilometers. According to sources associated with the Indian Navy, the results of this missile test are being analyzed. After the analysis of the results is completed, the concerned authorities will inform the key officials of the army and key leaders of the government about the test results.
India has earlier successfully tested ground-launched ballistic missile and launch system. In such a situation, this test is important to prepare the second line of attack.
Indian Navy will do many more tests
The Indian Navy had commissioned the submarine ( Arighat) into its fleet at the Ship Building Center in Visakhapatnam in August. Sources said that before testing the full range of the missile, DRDO had conducted several tests of firing the missile from an underwater platform. The Indian Navy is now planning to conduct more tests of the missile system.
Third submarine may be included next year
The Navy has two nuclear submarines with ballistic missile capability, including Arihant and Arighat. The third submarine has also been launched and is expected to be inducted into the Navy next year.
