Lucknow/Bhopal: Farmers are badly troubled due to non-availability of fertilizers in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The situation is so bad that even after standing in line since morning, farmers are not getting fertilizer. In such a situation, angry farmers are creating ruckus from Lucknow in UP to Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh. Farmers fear that if fertilizer is not available, their crops will be ruined. Long queues of farmers are seen outside the cooperative centres. Farmers allege that the committee officials are black marketing the fertilizer, and this is why they are not able to get even a single bag of fertilizer even after waiting for a day.
Black marketing allegations against committee members
The farmers who came to collect fertilizer in the cooperative society of Aslam Nagar located in Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, the capital of UP, created a ruckus. Angry farmers are accusing the committee members and babus of black marketing. In Nagaram, farmers created so much ruckus at the cooperative center that it had to be closed. Actually, 300 bags of fertilizer arrived at this center after about a week and there were about 1200 farmers who took it. Let us tell you that 90 lakh metric tons of DAP is required in UP but currently only about 40 metric tons is available. Politics has also started regarding the shortage of fertilizers. Samajwadi Party alleges that farmers are troubled under the BJP government.
There is a huge shortage of fertilizer in Madhya Pradesh also
Farmers say that this is the season for sowing wheat, mustard and potatoes. He says that everyone needs fertilizer, but it is not available in the quantity that is required. Even in Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh, farmers facing shortage of fertilizers created a ruckus. Farmers are upset over not getting fertilizer for a long time at the cooperative center in Palera Nagar in Tikamgarh district, and on Monday their resentment turned into an uproar. Farmers allege that they have been suffering for many days but they are not getting fertilizer on time due to which sowing is not possible.
