FIR against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Lokayukta Police took action in MUDA case – Top News Bulletin


Bengaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta Police has registered an FIR against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case. Sources said Lokayukta police have registered an FIR against Siddaramaiah and others in the MUDA case. While giving its verdict on the petition of petitioner Snehamoyi Krishna, the People's Representative Court had directed to register an FIR against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. In its decision, the court had directed the Karnataka Lokayukta to investigate the matter and file a report within three months. After which today Mysuru Lokayukta Police registered a case against the Chief Minister.

CM's wife and brother-in-law were also made accused

In this case, CM has been made accused number one, while his wife Parvati has been made accused number two. Meanwhile, Chief Minister's brother-in-law Mallikarjun Swamy has been made accused number 3 and Devraj has been made accused number 4. The Chief Minister has been accused of allotting a MUDA site in Mysuru in his wife's name by misusing his powers. The petitioner has filed another writ petition in the Sessions Court today and appealed to the CBI to investigate the matter.

Siddaramaiah targeted BJP

Accusing the central government of misusing central agencies like CBI, ED and the office of the Governor in opposition-ruled states across the country, he said there was a need for a national level debate on the issue of Governor's 'interference' in administration.
