New Delhi: Famous industrialist Ratan Tata has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 86. He was ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Tata Group's statement came out
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekhar has issued a statement on this occasion. He said, 'It is with a feeling of immense loss that we bid farewell to Shri Ratan Naval Tata. An extraordinary leader whose incomparable contribution not only shaped the Tata Group but also woven the very fabric of our nation. For the Tata Group, Mr Tata was much more than a chairperson. For me he was a guru, guide and also a friend.
He said, 'With unwavering commitment, the Tata Group under the leadership of Ratan Tata has expanded excellence, integrity and innovation. He always remained true to his moral compass. Mr Tata's dedication towards philanthropy and development of society has impressed. His initiatives have taken deep roots in the lives of millions of people, from education to healthcare. Coming generations will benefit from this. On behalf of the entire Tata family, I express my deepest condolences to his loved ones. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we strive to uphold his principles.
PM Modi expressed grief
PM Modi said, 'One of the most unique aspects of Shri Ratan Tata ji was that he had the passion to dream big. He was at the forefront in supporting issues like education, health care, sanitation, animal welfare to name a few. My mind is filled with countless conversations with Shri Ratan Tata ji. When I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, I used to meet him often. We will exchange views on various issues. I found his perspective very enriching. When I came to Delhi this conversation continued. Extremely saddened by his demise. My thoughts are with his family, friends and fans in this hour of grief. Om Shanti.'
Rajnath Singh's statement also came out
The country's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh posted on his X handle and wrote, 'Saddened by the demise of Shri Ratan Tata. He was a great leader of Indian industry known for his remarkable contributions to our economy, trade and industry. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans. May his soul rest in peace.

RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka posted on his X handle on the demise of Ratan Tata. He wrote, 'The clock has stopped ticking. The Titan passed away.
