A landslide occurred in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu late on Sunday evening, in which a building situated on the lower slope of a hill was hit. Seven people from two families are feared trapped in this landslide, including children. According to initial information, this landslide occurred due to heavy rains in the district due to the impact of Cyclone Fengal.
District Collector D. Bhaskar Pandian said that five children were among those trapped inside the house. No trace of him has been found. The incident occurred on Sunday evening when a landslide occurred in VOC Nagar, located at the foothills of Annamalaiyar hills in Tiruvannamalai, damaging several houses.
