Congress is preparing to bring a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. According to sources, the leaders of 'India' block have decided to bring a no-confidence motion against the Chairman of Rajya Sabha. Opposition leaders claim that till now more than 50 MPs have signed it. All the parties of the 'India' block have agreed to this no-confidence motion and it can soon be presented in the Rajya Sabha.
Chairman accused of bias
Actually, the proceedings of both the houses of the winter session of the Parliament are not going on smoothly. Opposition MPs have repeatedly accused the Speaker of being biased. The opposition has accused him of working in a partisan manner in the House. Opposition parties will present a no-confidence motion under Article 67(B) of the Constitution. According to sources, all the parties of the Indian alliance including TMC, Aam Aadmi Party, Samajwadi Party have put their signatures in support of the no-confidence motion.

When the House met again after three adjournments, the opposition members were raising slogans against the Prime Minister and the government while raising the issue related to Adani Group. Some members came forward from their seats and raised slogans, due to which the atmosphere in the House became tense. Amidst the uproar, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said that a meeting was held in his chamber with Leader of the House JP Nadda and Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, in which several other senior members were also present. The Chairman told that there will be a meeting with these leaders again on Tuesday morning. He urged the members to allow the House to function smoothly, but despite this the uproar continued. Finally, at around 03:10 pm, the Chairman adjourned the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha for the whole day.
