Congress delegation met the Election Commission, sought answers to these three questions – Top News Bulletin

The Congress delegation met the Election Commission today regarding 'serious issues' related to the assembly elections in Maharashtra. During this, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that we have come after detailed and comprehensive discussion. We have presented our serious issues to him. Elections should be held on level ground, otherwise the Constitution is at risk. The Election Commission should give facts on our issues. He said that there has been a shortage of voters, we have asked for data to process the same in Maharashtra. Due to the addition to the voter list, about 47 lakh people are included in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. We have asked the Election Commission to justify this and have asked for complete proof and data.

Three complaints of Congress

He said that today the Election Commission has cleared a lot of confusion of Congress regarding EVM and polling data. Those that are still pending will be answered in writing. Let us tell you that the Election Commission had today called the Congress leaders to answer the complaints made by the Congress regarding the Maharashtra elections. During this time, 9 Congress leaders including Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Nana Patole, Mukul Wasnik had reached the Election Commission office. During this, Congress had three questions. First, a large number of names were deleted from the vote list before the elections. Secondly, on what basis were 47 lakh new voters added to the voter list and thirdly, in the polling data released by the Election Commission in the evening after voting and in the data released at 11 pm, how 76 lakh votes were increased.

What did Abhishek Manu Singhvi say?

Congress leaders said that in the 118 assembly seats of Maharashtra, about 25 thousand more votes were cast in the assembly elections than in the Lok Sabha elections. This is an unnatural increase. Out of these 118 seats, Mahayuti has won 102 seats. Therefore they suspect irregularities in the election process. The Election Commission answered all the questions of the Congress leaders. After the meeting, Abhishek Manu Singhvi seemed satisfied with the response of the Election Commission. He said that the talks went well. The Election Commission has answered some questions. He will answer the rest in detail in writing. Congress will wait for this. He said that until this doubt is removed, Congress will keep knocking on the doors of the Election Commission.
