A few days ago in Bengaluru, the body of a woman cut into pieces was recovered from her house. The woman's name was Mahalakshmi. Her body was recovered from the freezer. Police believe that the prime suspect in the incident, who killed Mahalakshmi and cut her body into 59 pieces, has allegedly committed suicide in Odisha. His body was found hanging from a tree. The accused is said to be Mahalakshmi's boyfriend whose name is Mukti Ranjan Roy.

The accused had gone to his village

Police have confirmed this and said that the body of Mukti Ranjan Roy was found in a village under Dhusuri police station in Bhadrak district of Odisha. The local police informed Bengaluru police personnel, who were searching for the suspect in the area. According to initial information, Roy had gone to his village on Tuesday, but after that he left home and his body was found on the outskirts of the village. The family has identified his body, which has been sent for postmortem by the police.

The husband had accused Ashraf

The Bengaluru city police had identified one of Mahalakshmi's associates named Mukti as the prime suspect in her murder. The police found Mahalakshmi's body cut into 59 pieces. Her body was kept in a refrigerator in a one-bedroom apartment in Bengaluru. The gruesome murder shocked the entire country.

Mahalakshmi's body was recovered from the refrigerator

Earlier this week, Mahalakshmi's husband Hemant Das, who was separated from her after their relationship soured, had reportedly accused a man named Ashraf of being involved in the murder. He claimed that Ashraf, who hails from Uttarakhand, was having an extramarital affair with Mahalakshmi. Mahalakshmi, a 29-year-old saleswoman, was not seen since early September. Her mutilated body was found in the refrigerator of her apartment on September 21 after neighbours complained of a foul smell coming from the house.
