A big update has come out regarding the census conducted every 10 years in India. According to sources, census in India will start next year i.e. in 2025. The census will continue for one year i.e. till 2026. After this, the census will now be held every 10 years in the country and the next census will be held in 2035. Its cycle was disturbed due to Covid. Earlier, census was conducted every decade. Earlier it had happened in 1991, 2001, 2011 and thus it was going to happen in the year 2021.
Now the government can also ask you about your sect.
According to information received from India Today website, the census cycle went haywire due to the Covid pandemic. Census had to be postponed due to the pandemic but after this the census cycle will also change. The next census will be held in 2025 and then in 2035 and then in 2045, 2055. Let us tell you that till now religion and class have been asked in the census. Along with this, General, Scheduled Caste and Tribe are counted, but this time people can also be asked which sect they believe in. Similarly, there are different sects among Scheduled Castes like Valmiki, Ravidasi etc. That means the government is considering the demand for census on the basis of religion, class as well as sect.
