Alert of heavy rain in more than 10 states including Bihar, when will the monsoon depart? – Top News Bulletin


New Delhi: While on one hand people are facing floods due to heavy rains in Bihar, on the other hand the rains in Eastern UP have stopped for two days. Due to which people have got relief. On the other hand, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the northeastern states. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in the northeastern areas in the next 5-6 days. The states where torrential rains may occur include Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

There will be light to moderate rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may also be seen in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain is likely over parts of Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan. Light to moderate rainfall is likely over southern states like Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep, while isolated rain will occur over parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Possibility of heavy rain in Gujarat

There is going to be dry weather in northwest and central India this week. There is no possibility of rain in Himachal till October 5. Delhi-NCR will remain partly cloudy and the maximum temperature is expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius. According to Central Pollution Control Board data, Delhi's air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 106 which falls in the 'moderate' category.

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon may depart from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgitbaltistan-Muzaffarabad and parts of Himachal Pradesh during the next 2-3 days. This year the monsoon was delayed by about a week. The withdrawal of monsoon season in Rajasthan and Gujarat had started from September 23, whereas in Delhi, the withdrawal of monsoon season usually happens on September 25, this year it has been significantly delayed. The end of the monsoon season is expected to be announced in the national capital this week. IMD has not given any exact date of withdrawal of monsoon from Delhi.
