Roorkee: These days, a conspiracy is being hatched in the country to overturn trains by placing barricades or gas cylinders on the railway tracks. Now a gas cylinder was found on the railway track in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. According to the information, gas cylinders were kept on the railway track as part of a conspiracy to overturn the goods train. The track on which the gas cylinder was found was to be used for movement of a goods train carrying military equipment. Due to the alertness of the loco pilot, a major accident was averted.
Loco pilot applied emergency brake
According to the information, LPG cylinder was found on the railway track near Dhandera railway station of Roorkee. The loco pilot of the goods train, seeing the gas cylinder on the railway track, applied emergency brakes and stopped the train. The loco pilot immediately informed the officials of the Railway Control Room located in Moradabad. After this information, the railway staff immediately reached the spot and removed the gas cylinder from the track. Railway police is investigating the matter.
Case registered against unknown people
RPF said that after getting information about this incident, Railway Protection Force and Railway employees conducted an intensive checking campaign for about five km on the track. Till now nothing is known as to who had kept the gas cylinder on the track. The gas cylinder has been kept with the station master of Dhandera railway station. The matter is being investigated by registering an FIR against unknown people.
There is movement of army trains
The place where LPG gas cylinder was found on the railway track. The headquarters of Bengal Engineering Group and Center is also a short distance away. Army movement keeps happening from this station. From here, army vehicles and soldiers go to other posts through goods trains. A separate railway track is also laid here for the army.
