6 Bangladeshis caught in Karnataka for entering India through fake documents – Top News Bulletin


Police have arrested six Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in Chitradurga city of Karnataka. These Bangladeshi citizens had entered India illegally and were living here on the basis of fake documents. Fake Aadhaar card, voter identity card, labor card, bank passbook, PAN card and passport have also been recovered from these arrested accused.

A press release issued from the Chitradurga SP office said that the arrest was made on November 18, 2024, near Arvind Garments and White Wash Garments located on Holalkere Road in the city. The police detained these Bangladeshi nationals under suspicious circumstances and interrogated them. The arrested persons include Suman Hussain, Sheikh Saifur Rehman, Mazharul, Azizul Sheikh, Mohammad Shakib Sikdar and Sanowar Hussain.

“Entered to settle in India”

These accused said that they had entered India through fake documents from Kolkata, West Bengal to settle and work in India. After this he worked in different states and recently reached Chitradurga city for employment.

  4. Sanowar Hussain (Father: Arab Mia)

  6. Azizul Shaikh (Father: Rehman Shaikh)

Preparation to send to Bengaluru

The police have seized the fake documents found from these accused and now further legal action is being taken. Police have planned to take the accused into custody and send them to Bengaluru, where their interrogation will continue. Police suspect that a large network of Bangladeshi infiltrators may be active in the district and action is being taken against it.

This action was taken under the guidance of Chitradurga district SP Ranjit Kumar Bandaru and DSP Dinkar. The police team included Chandranath Police Station Inspector N. Venkatesh, District Special Department Inspector N. Gudappa, Chitradurga Fort Police Station Inspector Dodanna, Chitradurga Rural Police Station Inspector Mudduraj, and other personnel together busted this huge illegal infiltration network.
