Three more citizens of Pakistani origin have been arrested in Bengaluru. All three were hiding their real identities. With the arrest of these three, the total number of Pakistani nationals arrested in Chennai and Bengaluru has increased to 11. Recently, Bengaluru Rural Police had arrested 4 people including Pakistani national Rashid Ali Siddiq living under the name of Shankar Sharma in Jigani area. Based on their interrogation, the police have arrested three suspected Pakistani nationals from Peeniya area. These people had infiltrated into India illegally 8 years ago.
Jigani police searched his house in Peeniya area on Thursday afternoon. From where Tariq Saeed, his wife Anila Saeed and 17 year old daughter were arrested. All three were medically examined, presented in the court and the court gave them 10 days' custody to the police for investigation.
Accused propagating cult Sufism
State police and central agencies are investigating how many more people are living here by changing their identities. Like Rashid Ali Siddiq, who was arrested earlier, it has also been told about Tariq Saeed that he entered India illegally with his family 8 years ago. First living in Kochi and later in Bengaluru, he was propagating Cult Sufism through the YouTube channel of Mehdi Foundation.
Hidden his real identity, became a Hindu
According to police sources, Tariq Saeed was living in Bengaluru as a Hindu in the name of Sunny Chauhan, while his wife Anila Saeed was living in the name of Deepali Chauhan, their 17 year old daughter is also studying in Bengaluru as a Hindu. In the interrogation of the police and central intelligence agencies so far, it has been confirmed that the people of Mehdi Foundation, for which the accused were doing religious propaganda work, got the accused a house in India and helped them financially in every way. Now agencies are investigating whether Mehdi Foundation has any role in bringing Pakistani citizens to India illegally?
