It can also be kept in the lunch box of children. It does not take much effort to prepare it. It can be easily made with the spices available at home. You can make it anytime for lunch or dinner.

Material

Ladyfinger – one kilo

Onions – 4 or 5

Grated ginger – 2 tsp

Cumin seeds – 2 tsp

Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

Turmeric – 1 tsp

Oil – 6 tbsp

Salt – as per taste

Method of preparation

First of all wash the ladyfinger and wipe it well with a cotton cloth. After this cut the ladyfinger into round or long pieces. Now take onion and cut it into thin long pieces. After this put oil in a pan and keep it for heating. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and crackle them for a few seconds. After this add chopped onion and grated ginger and fry. Fry the onion and ginger masala until the onion becomes light brown and soft. After this add ladyfinger and mix well with the help of a ladle and let it cook for 12 minutes. After this add red chili powder, turmeric and salt as per taste and mix it. Now cover the pan and cook the ladyfinger vegetable for 45 minutes. Keep stirring the ladyfinger in between. When the ladyfinger becomes very soft, turn off the gas. Onion ladyfinger is ready.
