How does Masoor Dal benefit your health?
Masoor Dal, also known as red lentils, is a staple in Indian cuisine. Apart from its taste, there are many other reasons why you should incorporate it as a habit in your diet.
1. Keeps blood sugar levels under control
Masoor dal is rich in dietary fibre and has a low glycemic index. This helps slow down digestion and prevents sudden spikes in blood sugar. This makes it an excellent choice for people with diabetes or blood sugar problems as it helps them regulate insulin production naturally.
2. Prevents increased cholesterol
Heart problems? Add masoor dal to your diet! Because it is high in fiber, masoor dal can help reduce cholesterol levels in the body. It improves blood flow by removing excess cholesterol and supports healthy heart functioning.
3. It can help you lose those extra pounds
Masoor dal has a perfect balance of fats and low carbs, which helps in creating a feeling of satiety. This, in turn, helps in weight loss. Its high fiber content slows down digestion, making it an ideal food option for those watching their weight.
4. It gives you youthful skin
Masoor dal is packed with antioxidants that help reduce cell damage and boost the immune system. This makes it a perfect food if you want to maintain soft and youthful skin.
