How to make chewing gum at home | Easy chewing gum recipe step by step
To make gum at home, first prepare the gum base mix. Take a microwave-safe bowl and add 1/3 cup gum base, 1/4 teaspoon citric acid, 1 teaspoon glycerin, and 2 tablespoons corn syrup. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir the mixture after removing from the microwave. The gum base should be melted, sticky, and gooey. Add 5-7 drops of flavoring to the gum base (traditional gum, chocolate, vanilla, or any other flavor) and mix well.
Next, take a cutting board and pour 1/2 cup of powdered sugar onto it. Make a hole in the center of the dough. Coat your fingers with some powdered sugar and add the gum mixture to the sugar. Now, knead them together for 20-30 minutes.
Once the gum is ready, roll it up and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Your gum is ready! Wrap each piece in wax paper or store them in a resealable plastic bag.
