Parathas are easily made by mixing bathua in flour. Bathua Parathas are so delicious that after eating them once, you will feel like eating them again and again. So today we are telling you the method of making Bathua Parathas.
Ingredients for making Bathua Paratha
2 cups wheat flour, 4 cups bathua, 12 teaspoon cumin powder, 12 teaspoon ground celery, 1 pinch asafoetida, 2 chopped green chillies, a little red chilli, salt, oil and water. Method to make Bathua Paratha:
step 1
To make Bathua Parantha, first clean the Bathua and boil it. Wash the bathua 23 times with clean water and then keep it to boil. You can also boil bathua in a kadai or pan and if you are boiling it in a cooker then give it only 1 whistle. When the bathua boils, let it cool and press it tightly with your hands to remove the water. Drain all the water thoroughly.
Step 2
Now add bathua, salt, cumin powder, celery, asafoetida, green chilli and red chilli in the mixer jar and grind them finely. Now knead the dough with this ground spice. To make parathas, knead a little soft dough. You can also add some salt to the flour to taste and if you wish, you can also add 12 teaspoons of oil.
Step 3
Now roll the dough and make Bathua Paratha. Apply dry flour and slowly roll the paratha and put it on the pan. Now apply ghee and bake the parantha until it turns pink from both the sides. Bathua's stuffed paratha is ready, you can eat it with sauce, chutney, butter or curd.
