Artist Paul Kidby began working with Sir Terry Pratchett in 1993 and, following the death of fellow artist Josh Kirby in 2002, was responsible for the dust jackets for the Discworld books. The deluxe new hardcover book Designing Terry Pratchett's Discworld goes behind the scenes of that partnership, showing how the author's universe came to life, with Kidby breaking down how key elements of the Discworld universe were visualized.
The final chapter is a particular delight: it offers details of Pratchett's numerous unfinished stories and novels (some already common knowledge, others detailed here for the first time), along with illustrations that give a glimpse of what might have been.
The perfect gift for a Pratchett fan, Designing the Discworld by Terry Pratchett is now available to purchase. Thanks to Doubleday, we have five copies up for grabs. To put your name in the hat for a chance to win one, simply answer the following question.
