A war that did not end
Welcome to the frontline patriot. It's just wartime, in this story, World War II never ended, it just evolved. Now, it's up to you to take the reins of an advanced base and turn it from a relic of a bygone era into a full-fledged military fort, ready to fight the USSR. Today, Chronospace is excited to reveal its first-person base management simulation game, War Mechanic. Inviting players into a unique combination of base management, exploration, strategy and more, the game allows them to explore a World War II world where fighting simply evolved. A press release provides more details about the game. Additionally, the release provides a trailer for the game.
War Mechanic allows players to take on the role of administrator of a US military base. After the defeat of the Axis and some Russian sabotage, the United States and the other allies declare war on the USSR. Now, under President Patton, capitalism is fully rampant and very important to the military. More than usual. Privatizing war means that you, as a base administrator, can fund your own military base to fight. Of course, this means that gathering resources, upgrading your base, exploring with your own customizable vehicle, and fulfilling military contracts are all important things to progress through.
Interestingly, as a first-person simulator, War Mechanic offers players an intriguing art style that adds to the combat and exploration scenarios. Additionally, the campaign's dialogue and story that mixes humor and characters to tell an alternate reality story seeks to add more to the game. Of course, a new trailer gives players a taste of the game. Check it out below.
War Mechanic will be released for PC via Steam in 2025.
