What would a witch be without her dark magical secrets? Marvel's Agatha since always The miniseries has a main protagonist. The leading role of the diabolical Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), last seen in the 2021 series Wandavisionfeatures a brave young aspiring witch initially only referred to as “Teenager” and played by Stop the heartby Joe Locke.
The character's real name has not yet been revealed. As of tonight's premiere episodes, there is a magical effect that prevents it from being revealed. He is listed in the credits as “Teen” and is referred to as “Teen” on the show. And the cast and crew have kept his identity under wraps.
But if you know anything about Marvel Comics' Scarlet Witch, Marvel magic, or the teen superheroes featured in the film, you have a good hunch: If Locke isn't playing Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan, that would be extraordinarily weird.
Billy is the Marvel Comics teenage superhero known as Wiccan or the Demiurge. He is a frequent member of the Young Avengers, whenever that team is together and on adventures. He has innate magical powers that allow him to warp reality simply by saying what he wishes to happen and concentrating on that intention. And he has a magical destiny to grow into: it has been prophesied that he will one day become so powerful that he will be able to rewrite the laws of magic itself.
That might not be the case seem Teen's true identity is a safe bet. For now, all we know is that he's a teenager who has a boyfriend and wants to be a wizard, and that although he's a bit dumb, he's powerful enough to break Agatha's illusion of the Scarlet Witch. Oh, and every time he tries to say his name or explain who he is, Agatha only hears nonsense or muffled noises. Nothing that's happened in Agate So far it contradicts the possibility of Teen being an original, new character in any Marvel timeline.
But there is one ton There is circumstantial evidence to suggest he is a Wiccan. First of all, Locke is identical to the character design. A skinny teenager, dark, straight hair. Check.
On the other hand, Billy is a character related to the Scarlet Witch, and this is a show related to her. In the comics, Billy is (it's more complicated than this, but don't worry) one of the Scarlet Witch's long-lost twin sons. Their sons, Billy and Tommy (or illusions of them, at least), have already appeared in Wandavision and in the alternate universes visited in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Teen could be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's way of integrating Billy into the main timeline in a lasting way.
We also know that Teen has a boyfriend: Wiccan is one of Marvel's most prominent queer characters. He and his boyfriend Teddy (the superhero known as Hulkling; no relation to Hulk) have been together in the comics for nearly two decades.
