Face horror in The Thing Remastered
Nightdive Studios has quietly set December 5, 2024 as the release date for The Thing: Remastered. A recent post on Xbox Wire hints that this survival horror reinvention could launch later this week. The post, which covers Xbox game releases from December 2 to 6, mentions titles like The Thaumaturge, Marvel Rivals, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Early Access.
Surprisingly, it also includes The Thing: Remastered, although Nightdive hasn't announced an official date and its Steam page still says “coming soon.” This unexpected mention has aroused curiosity.
The studio has built a solid reputation for remastering classic games. His work includes updates for the Turok trilogy, Star Wars: Dark Forces, System Shock, Shadow Man, and more. Now, The Thing: Remastered brings even more improvements to the original game. Expect smoother visuals with dynamic lighting, up to 144 fps, 4K resolution, antialiasing and other gameplay enhancements for a fresh experience on modern platforms.
