Kain's legacy is taking fans back to Nosgoth, except that this time they are not expected to dust off their Dreamcast or even get on any other new console. Instead, you will only need a book of origin and some dice to join the ranks of the Sarafan order and free the land of your vampire curse.
You may not have seen it coming (we certainly did not do it), but the legacy of the Kain series is obtaining its own TTRPG adaptation in Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan. The Gothic table role play will mechanically borrow from one of the Best table role -playing games, Using the clearly brutal and brilliant rules system of Mörk Borg to guide the players through hunting and eliminate the dead thirsty of blood. Beyond the emotion of killing vampires, you can also expect pranks and travel trips over time through the other life.
Scourge of the Sarafan is available as a compromise reward through Project Backerkitwhere he has managed to crush his financing objective of £ 32,500 to a fine powder within one day (at £ 176,000 at the time of writing). The standard and luxury editions of the TTRPG form a variety of levels of commitment to the project. However, we also include among them the book of Nosgoth, a “encyclopedia and 200 -page file” that provides an in -depth compilation of the world of game and history. Along with this, it presents an exploration of the series development through materials behind the scene, conceptual art and interviews with developers such as Michael Bell and Simon Templeman.
Both Nosgoth's book and Scourge of the Sarafan seem to be the continuous editor lost in the cult pattern of producing impressive artistic books focused on the game that only beg to end on their shelf. Each of the hard lid is sewn and full of the type of beautiful design that reminds me that floating through TTRPG's books is almost as fun as TTRPG play. This is a deeply unfortunate reality for my bank account.
I am a bit decent too young to have experienced this Cult Classic series in the launch, so I will admit that the legacy of Kain's games is caught in my accumulation of games full. That said, I have a deep love for Gothic fiction and an irresistible impulse to try anything, even a bit with a flavor to Mörk Borg, so I think I may have given me an excuse for recently by launching the recently released Soul Rever Rever 1 and 2 Remaster To prepare before the launch of the TTRPG.
