It didn't take long for details of the Attack on Titan movie's post-credits scene to spread to the internet, and it's a brilliant meta treat for long-time fans.
Since Attack on Titan: The Movie: The Last Attack is currently only available in Japan, we expected the post-credits scenes to be kept under wraps for at least a few days. But that is not the case.
Multiple viewers on social media sites Reddit and Twitter have confirmed that the post-credits stinger is an adaptation of a story from author Hajime Isayama's additional series School Castes, in which the Attack on Titan cast participates in non-canonical adventures. from high school.
If you stick around after the credits, you'll see an anime version of 'End Roll', in which Eren, Mikasa and Armin head to the cinema to watch the latest movie in a long-running series (sounds familiar…).
As they leave the screening, the trio discusses what they have just seen. In the manga version, Mikasa was impressed by the omen and at the same time had the opportunity to say goodbye to the characters. Armin reads the internet discussion forums and finds that their verdict is a little more brutal – a decidedly ironic way for Isayama to come out in front of those who may have complained about the end of the Attack on Titan manga when it ends in 2021.

As of this writing, there is still no Western release date for The Last Attack. If released outside of Japan, fans can expect 'updated visuals' and 5.1 surround sound from the film, which brings together the final two chapters of one of the best anime out there.
