Dive into the Stalker trilogy
The new Stalker 2 will be released in November and there is a great opportunity for those who want to get familiar with the series. The original Stalker trilogy will launch on Nintendo Switch on October 31, a little earlier than developer GSC Game World originally planned.
Stalker is coming to Switch and players will have different purchasing options. The first is the Legends of the Zone bundle, which came out earlier this year for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. This bundle includes three classic games: Shadow of Chernobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008) and Call of Pripyat (2009). You can purchase the full package for £32.99, €39.99 or $39.99. If you prefer a more casual approach, you can also purchase each set separately for £15.99, €19.99 or $19.99 each.
All three games transport players to a fictional version of the real-world Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in Ukraine. A second nuclear disaster in 2006 filled the area with mutants and strange anomalies. It attracts adventurers known as Stalkers to explore it. The series' well-known combination of intense survival horror FPS and RPG elements remains intact on Switch. Additionally, GSC Game World is adding some platform-specific features.
The Stalker trilogy for Switch, developed with Mataboo, promises to be fully optimized with improved visuals. It will feature an updated shooting system that includes gyroscope and touch controls, and will support handheld and TV mode.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will not be coming to Switch. But it will be released on Xbox Series X/S and PC on November 20 of this year.
