We're wrapping up the year 2024, so why not do it with some frivolous CES announcements? Like this premium microwave (it has to be premium!) from LG, with a touchscreen bigger than your iPad. I'm not sure what you'll see in the three and a half minutes it takes to heat up that butter chicken curry, but you can do it in glorious Full HD resolution.
The touchscreen integrates with LG's ThinQ Smart Home Dashboard if you think it's the right time to change channels on your TV or play with compatible Matter and Thread devices like smart lights, etc., and whatnot. It can also be combined with the company's induction oven to display cooking progress if you have difficulty craning your neck from the microwave to the stove burners. It's not a washing machine within a washing machine, but you still have to love CES.
LG is on the road this year.
