Now that the MCU reboot of Fantastic Four is filming, we've gotten an early taste of what to expect, with a new teaser courtesy of composer Michael Giacchino.
Speaking with Brandon Davis for a interview on youtubeGiacchino talked about his visit to the set of Fantastic Four: Getting Started. “I was only on set for a week,” he explained. “It was just something to see real sets everywhere. There was no volume or green screen. They were just beautiful sets. They're doing an incredible job and all the actors look incredible.”
After the concept trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con, which showed off a retro, grounded approach to the new film, we're not surprised. But it's very exciting to hear that Marvel is moving away from a more CGI approach with the upcoming adaptation.
He goes on to add that the theme of the film should feel like “it's really just about a family dealing with something really difficult.” It's certainly an intriguing tease, and we know exactly what that united enemy is: Galactus. Ralph Ineson has been cast in the role of the new big bad and will take on Marvel's First Family, played by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
