Ethan Hawke stars in the then future Succession Sarah Snook stars in this mind-bending sci-fi adventure. Adapted from Robert A. Heinlein's short story “All You Zombies,” Predestination It stars Hawke as an agent of a clandestine organization on a mission to stop a notorious terrorist known as the “Fizzle Bomber.” As part of his mission, the agent is tasked with recruiting a down-and-out writer (Snook) with an extraordinary life story.
I can't delve much deeper into the details of the story without risking spoiling its many twists and turns, but what I can say is that Hawke and Snook give fabulous performances as two lonely people brought together under truly extraordinary circumstances. If you're looking for an unconventional and deeply moving sci-fi story with a compelling mystery and a provocative ending, Predestination is the science fiction movie to watch this month. —Toussaint Egan

In the almost three years since its launch, The Matrix Resurrections has become one of the most interesting and incisive films of the legacy sequel era. It masterfully walks the line between engaging with the legacy of the original Matrix films while also questioning the entire industry that could make it possible, or even necessary, to return to a franchise a decade after its end. The film dares to ask what kind of cultural stagnation the studios could have tried to lead us to if we haven't developed new heroes in all this time.
Of course, it is also more than just its metaphors. And in keeping with the tradition of the Matrix series, Resurrections It's also just an absolutely incredible action movie. And for all the intelligent reviews of the film throughout the industry, it's hard to argue with the sheer cinematic joy of seeing Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss together on screen again. Just because of the conflict of those two feelings, Resurrections It's worth your time now that it's on Netflix. —Austen Goslin

This isn't so much a movie recommendation as it is an experience recommendation. I'm certainly on the record of thinking lady web It's a bad movie. But that doesn't mean there's no fun to be had with his particular brand of evil. That said, you probably won't have a very good time watching the movie just by watching it alone on your couch on a Saturday night. But if you can organize the right group of friends, the right snacks, and the right attitude, lady web It's an almost perfect movie to release on Netflix and make jokes about.
If for some reason you want a more serious reason to watch this, then consider that maybe its plot has some kind of relevance to the Kraven the huntera film that will supposedly be released on December 13. –AG
