Following yesterday's long-awaited Switch 2 reveal, Nintendo has begun opening registrations for its previously announced public hands-on gameplay sessions, confirming that attendees will have up to four hours of gameplay with the new console.
Nintendo's Switch 2 World Tour, as the company calls the month-long event, runs from April 4 through June. He is scheduled to visit 15 cities on four continents (Europe, North America, Oceania and Asia) during that time, starting with Paris and New York.
And for those eager to attend and try out Nintendo's new console, registrations are starting to go live. Registration is currently open for most European locations (Paris, London, Milan, Berlin) with others in Madrid, Amsterdam and other territories to follow.
What's perhaps most notable is the amount of time attendees can spend with the Switch 2. Anyone who wants to participate must select a 60-minute arrival window when they sign up, but actual gaming sessions officially last four hours. At least in Europe: the details currently available for North American theaters point to significantly shorter game sessions of two and a half hours.
It's worth reiterating that registration does not guarantee entry to Nintendo's hands-on events, as tickets will be allocated based on a randomly selected drawing. However, you can register as a group, as long as all attendees have a Nintendo Account linked to the same family group.
As for what will be available to play during each session, Nintendo hasn't said yet, but it seems likely that there will be a new Mario Kart given its prominence in this week's Switch 2 reveal. We can expect more details about the console's launch lineup during Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct on April 2, but in the meantime, here's everything we know so far.
