Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl developer GSC Game World has released a second patch.
GSC Game World quickly acknowledged the concerns after the launch on November 20, and its initial patch released yesterday ushered in “over 650 fixes, including quest blockers, memory leaks, crashes, and minor bugs.”
Now, the second patch in as many days will address “bug fixes for six missions, along with additional bug fixes.”
Some of the fixes listed below contain mission and enemy names and other light spoilers.so if you prefer not to know more, don't skip the video below!
“Following the release of 1.0.1, we are now ready to proceed with patch 1.0.2,” GSC Game World explained in the patch notes. “This update includes bug fixes for six missions, along with additional bug fixes.”
Here is the full list of fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the second wave of Monolith Soldiers would not appear during the On the Edge mission, blocking further progression.
- Fixed issue where Ritcher could be found dead during the mission A Minor Incident, blocking further progression.
- Fixed issue was that a player could get stuck after installing the fuse in the Wild Island area if they first obtained the Emitter from Faust's Cell during the Just Like the Good Old Days quest, blocking further progression.
- Fixed issue was when a player was unable to successfully complete the All That Remains quest while exploring the Chemical Plant region.
- Fixed issue where mission enemies could spawn in areas unreachable by a player during the “Downstairs” mission, blocking further progression.
- Fixed an issue where Scar could be missing during the Visions of Truth quest.
- Fixed a few more EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION bugs.
“Thank you again for your support. We will continue to work on future updates, reading your comments and opinions, and fixing 'anomalies' if they occur,” the team concluded.
“If you spot any, please report them to our Technical Support Center. This will help us investigate your particular case and implement solutions faster.”
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, of course, got off to an impressive start despite its technical issues. Earlier this week, GSC Game World revealed that the shooter has already sold 1 million copies, and that figure doesn't include all the players exploring The Zone through Game Pass.
