The Shrek DLC coming to PowerWash Simulator now has a release date: October 10.
Developer FuturLab announced the swamp-swept DLC last month, with a wide release coming in the fall.
We now have a firm release date (on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch), as well as details of the fairytale environments we'll soon be exploring.
Players will be tasked with returning Shrek's world to its former glory by washing the kingdom clean after leaving behind a speck of glowing goo.
Naturally, that starts with Shrek's Swamp, but it moves on to key locations from all the films: the town of Duloc, the Fairy Godmother's potion factory, the Dragon's Lair, and Hansel's honeymoon hideaway.
You'll also receive messages from familiar faces. Like the rest of the game, Shrek's campaign can be played with a friend in co-op mode or with up to six players in free play.
The special Shrek bundle will cost £6.50 ($7.99/€7.99) when it launches on October 10.
The DLC follows other paid packs such as the Alice's Adventures Special Pack, the Warhammer 40,000 Special Pack, and the SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack. Others, such as the Final Fantasy 7 and Tomb Raider packs, are free.
In April, FuturLab announced that PowerWash Simulator had reached 12 million players.
