Unfortunately, the player was also unable to simply go back and continue where he left off.

“Rejoining removed everything I had and only gave me my green rarity equip weapon, like 3000 points and no ransom,” they explained in the comments.
“It just gives you a base amount of stuff based on the round number, like after a bleed.”
A less optimistic player in a separate thread who also called for the 15-minute timer to be removed said: “Remove the fucking 15-minute timer. It's crazy. If I play ALONE, I'm ALONE in the match. The game costs €80. If I want to pause the game for 10 hours straight, I should be able to do that” (thanks, TheGamer).
“I don't mind consuming server resources. Make the game playable offline or remove the greed timer.”
“I didn't realize how much I like to pause and relax for a minute until this pause timer kept shutting down my games lol,” said one respondent.
“Something fun found… patched in literal hours,” another player commented. “Something that ruins the game… it was literally never patched and will be around for decades.
“It's the CoD zombie experience, yes.”
