NYT Strands today (game No. 329): The answers
The responses to the 329 game of Strands today are …
- NICKEL
- IRON
- COBALT
- CADMIUM
- ALUMINUM
- TITANIUM
- Spangram: pure metal
- My qualification: Easy
- My score: 1 track
It was quite obvious from the thematic track what we were looking for today and, of course, my greatest fear was to have to write aluminum, or rather, aluminum as those of you in the United States would say. Some very obvious pure metals (and much easier to find and spell) were out of the puzzle, including gold, copper, zinc and silver.
While completing the game, my mind roamed the genre of heavy metal and thought that I was wearing that name in honor of Iron Maiden, since iron is a particularly heavy metal. But in reality Google tells me that it comes from the song. Born to be wild of the 70 Steppenwolf band, which includes the phrase “heavy metal”. So today I learned two things: that, in addition to how to spell aluminum.
How did it go today? Let it know in the comments below.
