NYT Strands Today (Game #269): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 269 are…
- BORDER
- UNITED
- VIRGIN
- DELTA
- SPIRIT
- SOUTHWEST
- SPANGRAM: AIRLINES
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
As with yesterday's game (see answers below if you missed them), this is a Strands puzzle that is perfectly acceptable, but really wasn't for me. I generally don't fly and don't live in the US, so companies like UNITED, DELTA, SPIRIT, and FRONTIER don't come to mind. However, I didn't need a track to get started because I found FRONTIER by accident and once I combined it with the “Come Fly With Me” theme track, I had enough knowledge to know what was needed.
The problem was that although I had heard of all the AIRLINES included here, I couldn't think of them, so I had to do a combination of word search and letter pattern search until I found them all. So it wasn't the most fun, but I don't blame the NYT: this just wasn't the day for me.
How was today? Send me an email and let me know.
