Ubisoft's long-awaited Splinter Cell animated adaptation, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, is finally “coming soon.”
Netflix released the official spot during Geeked Week '24, and while it's only about a minute long, it gives us our first glimpse of what to expect when the show finally premieres on the streaming platform.
“Don't be afraid. Darkness is a good thing,” says a deep voice as animated night vision goggles sink into the water.
We then see an older, grey-haired man similarly sink beneath the surface of the water and see a coffin covered with a wreath. The name engraved on it is “beloved father”, Douglas Shetland.
“Once you get used to the shadows, you see bad people as they really are.”
But Fisher fans need not fear: as we move away from the coffin, a bold text tells us that Sam Fisher is also in the series, and that he is voiced by Liev Schreiber, the Hollywood actor.
“And they'll never see you coming for them.”
Then we hear and see the night vision goggles turn on.
If you can't wait to see more Fisher fun, don't forget that the Agency recently adapted the Splinter Cell series for radio. It's available now on Agency iPlayer.
