Help the girls in Mokoko
Independent game studio NAISU has officially released its nostalgic arcade game Mokoko
Mokoko X is inspired by classic arcade games like Volfied, Qix and Gals Panic. However, it comes with a modern touch. In the game you will help eight girls in absurd situations. This includes fighting kitchen bugs and beating mobile game levels. The game revolves around capturing parts of the screen while defending yourself from enemies.
Players need a combination of strategy and timing to keep their shield active, as leaving their territory leaves them vulnerable. The game has three difficulty levels that modify enemy behavior, shield depletion, and the amount of screen coverage needed to win. There are 32 levels with unique bosses and challenges.
Additionally, the game features fully animated voiceovers in Japanese and English, bringing each level to life with fun stories about the bosses and girls. The game offers charming graphics, tricky traps, towers, bonus effects and an arcade mode with real-time high scores. Players encounter savage enemies and outlandish stories, such as fighting ghost pirates or helping a character turned into a mosquito.
