Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox has hinted at some similarities between the upcoming Disney Plus show and its Netflix predecessor, including several types of one-shot fight scenes.
“There are different types of oners. So far, we have done three that are memorable,” the actor said. Collider at New York Comic-Con. “There's one in episode 2 of season 1, which is true. We shot it until it was perfect and there are no cuts in that shot. The camera moves, it films everything, and if something doesn't work, we do it again. “It takes a lot of preparation. You have to dedicate at least one or two days.”
Cox reprises his role as lawyer by day, vigilante by night Matt Murdock in the new MCU series, alongside his former Netflix co-stars Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk , aka Kingpin) and Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle, aka Punisher).
He continued: “There's something called 'Texas Switch,' where, without cutting the camera, my double and I, or Vincent and his double, switch places so my double can do the things I can't do, and I go back to the things I can do when the camera is in my face and stuff, but you don't realize. We did something similar in season 3, episode 4. Season 3 is literally a moment where I'm kicking someone in the. I land and my foot is on the camera, someone pulls me from behind and the next foot that comes in is Chris, my double. It's really funny. It's amazing.
“Anyway, we also did one in season 2, which isn't real. So, it plays like a one, it looks like the camera keeps moving, but every once in a while, the camera will slide in something that's completely black, like a jacket or a wall or something, and when that happens, you can stitch the different shots together to make them look like one, but sometimes you have a little more freedom and you can do a little bit interesting things. We have a really long, cool one sewn into the. new season, I'm not going to say which episode.”
The original Daredevil series aired on Netflix for three seasons between 2015 and 2018. Along with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher, it was part of the streamer's Defenders Saga, but all five shows were canceled and eventually removed from Netflix. . in 2022 when distribution rights returned to Disney.
