With less than 24 hours left, the Marvel Rivals season 1 release date and time is almost here, offering a ton of new content for the marksman hero when Eternal Night Falls lands.
While Marvel Rivals has been in the midst of 'Season 0' since its release, Eternal Night Falls is the first proper season for the game. As developer NetEase explains, that means you'll get “twice the playable content of a regular season,” with maps, heroes, balance changes, and more on the way.
The story that ties all that content together sees the Fantastic Four join the game to stop Dracula's antics. As such, you'll be able to play as the quartet once they join the roster, though keep in mind that it won't be all at once, as you'll have to wait until the second half of the season to try out The Thing and Human Torch. Meanwhile, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman will be available as Marvel Rivals characters from the get-go.
As for the maps, we will get Sanctum Sanctorum, Midtown and Central Park, the latter will also arrive in the second half of the season. NetEase is also giving a balance pass to Marvel Rivals, which seems like bad news for Duelists and Jeff Mains and probably good news for everyone else.
The good news is that soon you will be able to see all this for yourself. This is when Marvel Rivals season 1 will be released in your time zone when Eternal Night Falls launches on January 10.

While console releases may mean different unlock times for fans around the world, NetEase is looking for something simultaneous for Marvel Rivals. That works best if you're not in the United States, although most will be playing the new hero shooter content over the weekend anyway.
