Join the action at Liberté
Developer Superstatic and publisher Ultimate Games are excited to announce that Liberté is coming to PlayStation 5 on November 29. This unique hack 'n' slash game is inspired by the 18th century French Revolution and the work of HP Lovecraft.
The game combines fast-paced combat with a card system that includes more than 100 skill and talent cards. And it combines political intrigue with occult themes. You can play through an engaging single-player campaign or join friends in local co-op for up to four players.
Liberte is an action-packed hack-and-slash game that combines elements of card games and roguelite adventures. Players explore richly detailed environments while engaging in intense combat, using both melee weapons and firearms. The developers at Superstatic Studio were inspired by the spooky stories of HP Lovecraft, the body horror films of David Cronenberg, and the dramatic events of the French Revolution.
In the game, you enter an alternative Paris of the 18th century, a city in the midst of a revolution. In the midst of the turmoil, a mysterious being named Lady Bliss arrives from another dimension, adding to the chaos. You play as Rene, who has been tasked by Lady Bliss with choosing a new leader from four rival factions fighting for control. Along the way, you'll also be able to take on the roles of other characters, shaping the story that unfolds.
It features a dynamic combat system that allows you to experiment with over 100 skill and talent cards, creating unique combinations that suit your play style. Whether you prefer to take on challenges alone or join forces with friends, the game offers single-player campaigns and local co-op modes for up to four players at a time.
