- More details of the Galaxy S25 have been leaked
- There are updates on CPU, RAM, prices and colors.
- The Galaxy S25 Slim could go on sale at a later date
We're reaching a stage where it's unusual to have a day without some kind of rumor or leak about the Samsung Galaxy S25 phones, and the unconfirmed information that emerged today gives us more about the specs, prices, and colors of these phones.
The details come from well-known tipster @ishanagarwal24, and while there's nothing here that's completely new, this adds to previous rumors to give us a more complete idea of what to expect when these devices finally appear.
According to the tipster, retail sources suggest that each model of the Galaxy S25 will have the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor inside, in all regions, as previously rumored, so there is no sign of Samsung's Exynos processors being mixed with some models, as there was with the Galaxy S24 series.
Sticking with the specs, 12GB will be standard for all phones, according to these predictions. That fits with previous leaks and means an 8GB jump on the standard 2024 model (see our Samsung Galaxy S24 review for more details). We have already seen the Galaxy S24 Plus and the Galaxy S24 Ultra starting at 12 GB.
More to come
It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will also receive Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy in Europe. (Retail sources) That means all 3 devices could be powered by Snapdragon in most regions. There will be S24 in 512 GB: €1,079. Other prices revealed were correct. Standard…January 4, 2025
Moving on to colors, the standard shades predicted here are Silver Shadow, Agency, Icy Blue and Navy for the standard Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S5 Plus, then Titanium Black, Titanium Grey, Titanium White Silver and Titanium Silver Blue for the Galaxy S25. Ultra.
We can expect more options to be offered on Samsung's website, although they may vary by region. The colors listed match what we've already heard from other sources, so there are unlikely to be many surprises in this department.
The leak also includes a price of 1,079 euros for the “S24 in 512 GB”; assuming it's a typo and it should be the S25, it would be a new record for storage options on the standard model in Europe, the US and the UK. For comparison, the Galaxy S24 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage launched for €960 / $800 / £860 / AU$1,400.
Finally, the phones are said to be “a little more compact and lighter,” although the S25 is expected to be taller. In a follow-up post, the same source says there's no sign of the Galaxy S25 Slim yet and that it will likely launch later than the other phones. All of these details should be confirmed around Wednesday, January 22.
