Games Done Quick is holding a Done Quick disaster relief fundraiser for those affected by Hurricane Helene.
From October 11-13, Disaster Relief Done Quick will collect donations for Direct Relief, “a humanitarian aid organization with the mission of improving the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, regardless of politics, religion or the ability to pay.”
“Direct Relief has already offered assistance to more than 50 safety net healthcare providers in the path of the storm and will continue to assess the needs of affected areas and provide resources such as emergency medical supplies, hygiene kits, and emergency support. transportation,” the organization said.

Games Done Quick is a series of charity video game marathons featuring high-level gameplay performed by speedrunners raising money for charities.
The Summer Games Done Quick 2024 concluded in early July, raising £1.9 million ($2.5 million) for the charity Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
That brings the speedrunning organiser's lifetime total to a staggering £40m/$51m across all his events for charities including AbleGamers, Doctors Without Borders, Organization for Autism Research, Malala Fund, National Law Center Women and Prevent Cancer Foundation.
