After many clues, it seems fallout season 2 will adapt fan-favorite game Fallout: New Vegas as executive producer Jonathan Nolan all but confirmed the news in a cryptic awards speech.
“I want to thank the fans of Fallout: New Vegas for not burning down my house, you'll be grateful you didn't,” Nolan said during his acceptance speech for Best Adaptation at The Game Awards. The producer was referring to how die-hard Fallout fans weren't too happy with how the first season 'mixed up' the games' overall story and timeline, specifically Fallout: New Vegas.
Released in 2010, New Vegas is the sixth Fallout game overall and is set 204 years after the nuclear war and follows a messenger who wakes up from a gunshot to the head and finds himself in a larger conflict between different ruling forces. Like the original game, New Vegas still maintains the 1950s style, but has often been compared to Mad Max with themes of greed and excess.
Fans began to wonder if Season 2 would be based on the sixth Fallout game when a new location was teased at the end of season 1, when Hank stumbles upon a new town; you can read more about that in our Fallout Season 1 Ending Explained. Shortly after, Nolan teased that season 2 would explore his favorite location of the games. Later, video game director. Although we don't have an official synopsis yet, season 2 is likely to begin fallout season 1 and follows Lucy and The Ghoul's journey to find their father Hank, who escaped wearing power armor. Meanwhile, at Shady Sands, The Brotherhood of Steel has taken control and has an unlimited energy source at their fingertips, so we can only imagine how they will use it.
