The second room in the Cryptic Cavern is the intersection that leads to the rest of the mini-dungeon. The left path has a closed door for now, the middle path has two air cannons that shoot out to the sides, and the right path has a single air cannon that blows against the only path.

Go to the middle path and use a strong echo, like a rockto block the air cannons and be able to pass through without taking damage. Go through the door at the end of the path.

The next room is full of Pathblades. You can kill these things with a flying echo like the ravenand it's especially easy if you link up with the enemy first – you'll also win the Echo of Pathblade when you kill one. However, you can also overcome them by releasing them. rocks in front of them and just sliding.

Head back to where you entered room #3 and take the ramp to the right. This will drop you next to two gibdos and the chest you spawned earlier. Defeat the gibdo if you wish or just take the small key from the chest and run. You can use a tornado to destroy the mountain of sand on the left side of the screen, which houses a blue rupee.

When you're ready, go through the south door.

Room #5 is a 2D area. To your right from where you land, you'll find a door that has a switch behind it. Ignore it for now and go down the ladder to your left. Kill or block the Pathblade when you land and use a bed either trampoline to get over the hump in the middle of the platform. Go down the ladder ahead and jump the gap to the area with another sword on the way. Go through it and break the pot to get a fairy.

Drop down to the lower area, where there is a long gap and a path sword below it. Aim for the path sword, bind to it, then use Reverse Bind when it moves to the side. It will lead you to a chest containing a Red Rupee.

Room #6 is a continuation of the 2D area and is filled with more Pathblades. Use a tornado to get through the piles of sand (unlocking the path) and then defeat or get past the Pathblade. On the second floor, use a tornado to blow up the stack but not defeat the Pathblade.

Go up to the third floor, use a tornado To blow up the sand mountain on the other side, bind to the Pathblade below as it passes you on the right, then use Reverse Bind as it dashes to the left. This will take you to the door (and another Pathblade, so be careful).

Climb the stairs from room #6 to room #7. Here you will find a powered up gibdo. Use the most powerful echo you have (or swordsman form) to destroy it, which will cause the level 2 Echo of Gibdo for you.

Take the left path back to room #5 and hit the switch behind the door. Then go back to room #7 and exit through the door on your right.

In room #8, you'll find what's basically a large handle attached to a block that's underneath a mountain of sand. Bind yourself to the block and pull it back towards the door. Eventually, you'll move it to the left and release the sand above. This will reveal a new area, the Gerudo Shrine, in the Gerudo Desert. You can exit the Cryptic Cavern the normal way, or open your map and teleport in.

Go to the place where you just cleared the sand and enter the Gerudo Shrine to continue your quest.
