More content for Black Ops 6
Treyarch has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will receive a new multiplayer game mode and a new map this week. “The launch was just the beginning” wrote developer Treyarch in an X post on Monday. “Tomorrow the Infected come to play. Nuketown joins the party on Friday.”
In Infected multiplayer party mode, players work to survive against zombies controlled by other players. The goal is to remain human while the zombies try to convert everyone else. Nuketown is a compact multiplayer map that first appeared in 2010's Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is inspired by the American nuclear test sites of the 1950s. Since its debut, a new version of Nuketown has appeared in every game of Black Ops.
The game launched on Friday and offers 11 standard multiplayer modes, four alternate modes without Scorestreaks, and one Hardcore mode. There is also a Hardcore mode, where players have lower health, a limited HUD, and friendly fire, making the experience more intense.
Activision announced before the game's launch that players can expect new modes to be added regularly after launch. The first update was released over the weekend and brought some interesting changes. Players can now earn more XP and Weapon XP in multiplayer modes such as Team Deathmatch, Control, Search & Destroy, and Gunfight.
“Our team is closely monitoring XP rates for all modes to ensure players progress as expected wherever they play.” Activision said.
