Black Myth: Wukong will physically release on PS5 next month – December 12, to be precise.
The release marks the first time the fan-favorite action RPG will be available on a physical PS5 disc, as the Collector's Edition simply included a download code.
“Mark your calendars! Black Myth: Wukong arrives in physical form on December 12, 2024!” PM Studios posted on X/Twitter.
When asked if that date also applied to UK purchases, PM Studios simply replied, “Yes!”, and then confirmed the same release date for players in Europe.

As of this writing, it's unclear if the physical edition will ship with any add-on items, such as an instruction manual, but it has been confirmed to include the “deluxe edition upgrade” as well as the base game.
The Deluxe Edition includes the Bronzecloud Staff weapon, the Wind Chimes curiosity, and the Folk Opera armor set. You'll also get a “select” digital soundtrack.
Microsoft has reconfirmed that the delay in the release of Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox is not due to “platform limitations.”
Black Myth: Wukong launched in August for PC and PS5, but the Xbox version was delayed for an unknown reason. Speculation grew that the developer was struggling to run the game on the Series S console, while other rumors suggested that the game was, in fact, exclusive to the PlayStation console.
A Microsoft representative has confirmed that the game is still on the way, although he will not comment “on agreements made by our partners with other platform owners.”
Black Myth: Wukong had already sold 10 million copies after just three days on sale, even without an Xbox version.
