Immerse yourself in benign land
AFTERNATURE Productions is pleased to announce the release date of its upcoming title, Benign Land. This atmospheric walking simulator will be released for PC via Steam on January 24 and will invite players to explore the rich and varied history of Ireland. Check out the official release date trailer below.
Benign Land is created by interdisciplinary artist and game developer Leandros Ntolas. It brings together games and contemporary art in a unique way. First presented as an interactive art installation in Northern Ireland by Household Belfast, this project invites you to explore surreal landscapes filled with symbolism. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it offers a deeply immersive experience.
The game draws inspiration from literary greats such as James Joyce and Seamus Heaney, as well as the surrealist style of Gaspar Noé's Enter the Void. Take players through beautifully crafted scenes exploring the history of Ireland, from ancient pagan roots to the Troubles era. Perfect for those who enjoy boundary-pushing artistic experiences, it will resonate with fans of Dear Esther and Journey.
