Assassin's Creed Invictus is inspired by Fall Guys, leaker suggests

New details about Assassin's Creed Invictus have leaked online.

According to X/Twitter user j0nathan (a leaker with a lot of previous experience in Assassin's Creed information), Invictus will be a Fall Guys-inspired multiplayer game in which players will take on the avatars of different Assassin's Creed characters and fight to overcome each round.

“It will be a kind of 'Fall Guys': 16 players (for the moment) competing in several rounds with different 'games',” wrote j0nathan, as translated by Google and what remains of my French GCSE.

“Between the game [types]We find Team Deathmatch, another free-for-all, and a speed game in which you will have to go to points of light spread across the map. If you manage to get to the next round, you will be able to choose types of powers to form a build for the final match.

Interestingly, j0nathan believes they can “confirm” two characters – Ezio and Cesare Borgia – and says the gameplay will be “arcade-like”, “with hits without real impact and even a 'bubble' shield like in Smash Bros.”

The maps will be inspired by Assassin's Creed games, such as Mirage's Baghdad, Shadows' Japan, “a map on an island paradise” likely inspired by Black Flag. There's also a map based on Pompeii, “with rising lava.”

Without a formal confirmation from Ubisoft either way, all we can do is take this as a rumor for now, but even the moderation team on the subreddit admits that Jonathan has been “somewhat accurate” with previous Assassin's Creed-flavored leaks.

“We don't know how much or how little of it is true, so maybe we shouldn't jump to conclusions,” the moderator cautioned. “Sure, Jonathan has leaked information in the past that was at least somewhat true, but that information could be old or incomplete, or just plain false.”

In June, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot condemned “malicious and personal online attacks” directed at the game's developers following the initial reveal of Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Assassin's Creed franchise boss Marc-Alexis Côté recently spoke about having to take a “step back” rather than respond to criticism of the game on social media from X owner Elon Musk.
