a number of new exotics were introduced in Revenant, Destiny 2's. As of act 1, there are at least three exotic armors and two weapons. And while a surprise exotic could always appear, we know for sure that an exotic quest will become available at some point during Revenant, probably in act 3, like in Echoes.
on this Destiny 2: Revenant Guide, we'll walk you through each of the new exotics in this episode and how to get them. We will update this guide throughout the episode as new exotics are released.
Alethonym Stasis breaks grenade launcher

Alethonym is a rare type of exotic and is only the second primary ammo-breaking grenade launcher. It also deals stasis damage, meaning it lives in the top slot, while the other main grenade launcher, Fighting Lion, lives in the energy slot.
The main exotic advantage of Alethonym is combine pickwhich causes deaths with the weapon to generate Vestiges. More powerful enemies create more Vestiges. Absorbing a Vestige allows you to activate its secondary buff, Vestigial alchemy. After grabbing enough Vestiges to charge 50% of the Vestigial Alchemy bar, you can perform a special recharge to cause the next shot to create a special ammo block for you and your allies. At 100% energy, you can create a heavy brick instead.
Alethonym is the Exotic Season Pass and is available immediately to those who own Revenant. For free players, you will need to progress through the season pass to rank 40. A catalyst will become available for Alethonym later in the episode.
Exact specifications for the return of Icebreaker, the beloved exotic sniper rifle from the original Destiny, have yet to be released, as Vesper Host's Dungeon The one it comes from will not be available until October 11. But according to a recent stream from developers, we know a little about how the weapon works.
When you kill with weapons other than Icebreakers, you will regenerate Icebreaker ammo, up to 10 shots. Bungie has also teased that the new version of Icebreaker will have some kind of interaction with Stasis.
Like all dungeon exotics, Icebreaker is a random drop from the final boss in Vesper's Host.
