The Ubisoft first -person shooter in 2019 Far Cry New Dawn is receiving an update of 60 fps, which is great, but the way it was revealed is even better.
Giving up up, it is great to see Ubisoft doing maintenance in its rear catalog, and the moment could not have been better with Far Cry New Dawn come to Game Pass on February 4. The FPS update should be available to download any minute in the PS5 and Xbox X. Bravo series, Ubisoft.
Now for the funny part. Ubisoft announced the 60 fps update on a simple tweet, which seems quite proportional to the weight of the news, more or less. That said, it seems that Ubisoft had originally planned to give the revelation a little more thrust, but then realized that this was not possible.
“Well … that's how we plan to announce this,” says the tweet. “An update of 60 fps will arrive at Far Cry New Dawn at Xbox Series X | S!”
Well … that's how we planned to announce this. An update of 60 fps will reach Far Cry New Dawn in Xbox Series X | S! But to guarantee a soft deployment, we need to temporarily disable the impulse of FPS today at 4 PM PST (February 1, 0000 UTC). Thanks for your patience! January 31, 2025
Ok, great, great, but here is the rubbing. In order for Ubisoft to display the 60 fps update, it had to “temporarily” disable the impulse of FPS, and before doing so I had to make everyone knew that it was going to do that … what would have spoiled the surprise element of the update of the update of the update of the update of the update 60 fps. Basically, it seems that in the last minute, some engineer realized and had to cross the Ubisoft marketing team with some quite unfortunate news.
“Yes, do you know that the YouTube video you have already filmed and programmed to enter live, like five minutes? Oh, and the publication of the blog? Yes, neither is happening.” It is what I can imagine that conversation.
Ubisoft confirmed on a follow -up tweet that the PS5 version of Far Cry New Dawn also obtains the 60 fps update, but its equivalent FPS impulse, the impulse of the game is not affected, I suppose because it does not work with Far Cry New Dawn.
Anyway, yes, I hope that the good and fun news establish the atmosphere for the whole weekend.
